Hello bookworms! I’m Nia and today I’m going to do a different recommendation’s post.
Sometimes when I’m reading a book I think it has similarities with other novels, or the characters go through similar things, etc. And that’s the main reason lf this blog post! Ta-daa.
Now I’m not saying just because you loved any of the books I’ve mention you’ll 100% love the other book. But maybe if you didn’t like one of these books you should try the other.
If you liked The Winner’s Curse, you’ll probably like The Kiss of Deception
The reason why I recommend this is because they have both similar main characters. Lia and Kestrel are really intelligent, and that’s the strongest element of their personalities. Even though Lia can definitely fight and Kestrel doesn’t bother to, I think they both have been through a lot in the books and their development is incredible. Oh, and both girls habe a high rant in their society.
Both books have a very strong political system (maybe The Winner’s Curse more), but in any of them they bored me or were difficult to understand.
If you liked The Wrath and The Dawn, you’ll probably like The Forbidden Wish
Well.. I adored this two books. They are retellings and in them both females have give up their freedom for something else that would bring them trouble but also free them in a way.
Also the two of them are diverse reads set in an asian fantasy world, and their romance is so angsty but it’s beautiful. And the writing is whimsical in both stories.
If you liked This Is Our Story, you’ll probably like One of Us Is Lying
Now this may be a surprise but I wouldn’t do a recommendation post without adding a mystery book. And even though both stories are completely different let me explain why I put them together.
In the two of them there are five teens going out somewhere (in TIOS to the woods and in OOUIL to detention) and only four of them come out. There are some things you clearly don’t expect and they both are surprinsingly addicting and quick.
If you liked The Night Circus, you’ll probably like The Crown’s Game
I’ve read quite recently The Crown’s Game and I had so many feels because it reminded me in some way to The Night Circus. They both have a very unique and whimsical magic system, and there are two enchanters who basically have been trained by their mentors to face themselves in a game where only one of them could win.
The romance is angsty and forbidden and the characters have to go through hell and back, and even though they have different things going on in both stories, I can’t help but love them! I’m a sucker for these things, guys.
If you liked A Court of Thorns and Roses, you’ll probably like Snow Like Ashes
This is super random but when I was looking at my shelves and thinking about what books would pair well together I came across this two and let me explain you why.
The land division is practically the same: ACOTAR has season courts and in SLA their empire is divided in seasons too. Also their protagonist suffer a mayor development in the books, and sacrifice a lot of their lives for the mayor good.
Let me know if you’ve read any of these books and enjoyed them or if you have them in your TBR. Also if you’d like me to do a part two, comment and I’ll definitely do it!
I really want to read The Night Circus. The only one I’ve actually read is A Court of Thorns and Roses and I didn’t love it as much as everyone else.
