Side Ships |T5W

Hello bookworms! I’m Nia and today I’m going to be talking about my favourite side ships.

Now sometimes when I’m reading a book I can’t help but ship two characters together (apart from our main characters). There’s something about them that I think might click or they are just simply too cute together. I’ll talk about some canon ships but there are also ones that I wish to see them happen.

Without any further ado, let’s start!

Daughter of Smoke and Bone | Laini Taylor

I adored Zuzana! She was one of my favourite characters in the trilogy. She’s super sassy and hilarious and I love her friendship with Karou and how loyal they are to each other. And Zuzana and Mik were one of my favourite couples and I think the one I laughed out loud with the most. They were so cute and their lines were brief (even though they get more importance as the novel progresses) but they made a mark in me. And I ship them so hard!

Queen of Shadows | Sarah J. Maas

I have to say this but while reading QOS I couldn’t help but ship Elide with Manon. I know guys, it’s hardly happening but there was some sexual tension between them and I can’t ship her with Dorian (I CAN’T). Buut another ship I wouldn’t mind at all if it happened would be Manon and Asterin. I think they are different despite being in the same clan, but because they have been through the same and they trust each other and care about each other so much I think they would be really cute together. I JUST DON’T LIKE ANY SHIPS THAT ARE CURRENTLY HAPPENING IN THE SERIES, SORRY (well… maybe Lorcan and Elide???)

Geekerella| Ashley Poston

Now beware because there are some spoilers of Geekerella in here, so if you want to read the book I probably suggest to skip this.
It was so unexpected because I didn’t know there would be any LGBTQ+ characters in this novel, so when I saw that there was some tension between Sage and Calliope and then they ended up together I was all YESS. Sage was one of my favourite characters from the book and I really like how Cal and Sage complemented each other. I would have loved to read more about them!

A Court of Wings and Ruin | Sarah J. Maas

Now this was new to me because it was completely unexpected and something that came to my mind as I was reading ACOWAR. But I think they would be so cute together.

Azriel was to me that mysterious, serious type of guy and around Elain HE IS NERVOUS AND THAT IS SUPER ADORABLE! I don’t want to spoil you in cas you haven’t read the books yet, but oh, god I ship them so much! I’d love to read more about them and maybe my wishes will come true, who knows?!

Now I Rise | Kiersten White

And of course there has to be something related to And I Darken because I’ve recently finished Now I Rise and I adore those characters! But there is a special ship that I want so hard to happen, and even though Radu is the other main character along with Lada, I can’t help it. I need to talk about it!

Cyprian doesn’t appear until the second book but they are just super cute and I want them to end together. Because Radu has suffered a lot because of love and he deserves someone who is kind, loyal and loves him as much as he does. And I like Cyprian, okay? He’s a really nice guy and seems to care a lot about Radu so… let’s hope this floats.

What side characters you desperately need them to be together? They could be cannon or bromances. Let me know!
