MOST ANTICIPATED BOOKS

Most Anticipated Releases | September 2017

Hello bookworms! I’m Nia and today I’m going to be talking about some new releases I’m terribly excited for.

First of all, let’s talk about the new look of the blog! I don’t know if you’ve realised already, but it’s going to be fall really soon, and I wanted this blog to look cozy and autumn-y. So I decided to create some new things! I’m really happy with how it all turned out, and I worked really hard to make it look this way (you know how much I love my aesthetics), so I do really hope you love the new theme as much as I do!

Going back to the point, September IS FULL OF NEW RELEASES. My god, I’m going to end up broke, because let me tell you there are some pretty incredible books coming out (some I had the pleasure to have read already but I’m still going to mentioned them because I’m really excited!). I’m going to be talking about 23 books that are coming out this month, so grab a snack or something because the list is quite long!

So without any further ado, let’s start with the list!

The Dreadful Tale Of Prosper Redding | Alexandra Bracken

33785202

Pub. Date: September 5th

Synopsis

Prosper is the only unexceptional Redding in his old and storied family history — that is, until he discovers the demon living inside him. Turns out Prosper’s great-great-great-great-great-something grandfather made — and then broke — a contract with a malefactor, a demon who exchanges fortune for eternal servitude. And, weirdly enough, four-thousand-year-old Alastor isn’t exactly the forgiving type.

The fiend has reawakened with one purpose — to destroy the family whose success he ensured and who then betrayed him. With only days to break the curse and banish Alastor back to the demon realm, Prosper is playing unwilling host to the fiend, who delights in tormenting him with nasty insults and constant attempts trick him into a contract. Yeah, Prosper will take his future without a side of eternal servitude, thanks.

Little does Prosper know, the malefactor’s control over his body grows stronger with each passing night, and there’s a lot Alastor isn’t telling his dim-witted (but admittedly strong-willed) human host.

She gets her wish when her father makes Lynet queen of the southern territories, displacing Mina. She paints mortal sorrow in his eyes – a weakness that could cost him his life.

Furious and devastated, Rook spirits her away to the autumnlands to stand trial for her crime. Waylaid by the Wild Hunt’s ghostly hounds, the tainted influence of the Alder King, and hideous monsters risen from barrow mounds, Isobel and Rook depend on one another for survival. Their alliance blossoms into trust, then love, violating the fair folks’ ruthless Good Law. There’s only one way to save both their lives, Isobel must drink from the Green Well, whose water will transform her into a fair one—at the cost of her Craft, for immortality is as stagnant as it is timeless.

Isobel has a choice: she can sacrifice her art for a future, or arm herself with paint and canvas against the ancient power of the fairy courts.
