November TBR | 2017

Hello bookworms! I’m Nia and today I’m going to be talking about the books I want to read this month.

I have a pretty ambicious TBR this month, and hopefully I’ll get to read and love all of them. Since the end of October I was a bit lazier when it came to reading, I wanted to add a few more books in this TBR I’m really excited to read. I’ll probably read as well a couple of ARCs I need to read ASAP, but it really depends on my mood.

Without any further ado, let’s begin with this month’s TBR.

Wild Beauty | Anna-Marie McLemore

For nearly a century, the Nomeolvides women have tended the grounds of La Pradera, the lush estate gardens that enchant guests from around the world. They’ve also hidden a tragic legacy: if they fall in love too deeply, their lovers vanish. But then, after generations of vanishings, a strange boy appears in the gardens.

The Gallery of Unfinished Girls | Lauren Karcz

Mercedes Moreno is an artist. At least, she thinks she could be, even though she hasn’t been able to paint anything worthwhile since her award-winning piece Food Poisoning #1 last year.

Her lack of inspiration might be because her abuela is lying comatose in faraway Puerto Rico after suffering a stroke. Or the fact that Mercedes is in love with her best friend, Victoria, but is too afraid to admit her true feelings.

When Grace learns that Lucy Moynihan, the former occupant of her new home, was run out of town for having accused the popular guys at school of gang rape, she’s incensed that Lucy never had justice. For their own personal reasons, Rosina and Erin feel equally deeply about Lucy’s tragedy, so they form an anonymous group of girls at Prescott High to resist the sexist culture at their school, which includes boycotting sex of any kind with the male students.

Devils & Thieves | Jennifer Rush

Eighteen-year-old Jemmie Carmichael is surrounded by magic in the quiet town of Hawthorne, New York. In her world, magic users are called “kindled,” and Jemmie would count herself among them if only she could cast a simple spell without completely falling apart. It doesn’t help that she was also recently snubbed by Crowe—the dangerous and enigmatic leader of Hawthorne’s kindled motorcycle gang, the Devils’ League.

When the entire kindled community rolls into Hawthorne for an annual festival, a rumor spreads that someone is practicing forbidden magic. Then people start to go missing. All the Rage | Courtney Summers

All the Crooked Saints | Maggie Stiefvater

Forest of a Thousand Lanterns | Julie C. Dao

The Rattled Bones | S. M. Parker

Without Merit | Colleen Hoover

Jane Unlimited | Kristin Cashore
