Hello bookworms! I’m Nia and today I’m going to talk about some reasons why I started blogging in the first place.
This is quite self explanatory, but it’s been a few months ever since I decided to create this blog. Before I just posted my reviews on Goodreads and talk about other stuff on Books Amino, but I’ve been debating whether or not to open a new blog to talk about books and other things (those are about to come soon-ish, maybe??). So I finally decided to create this blog and though it’s been harder than I thought it would be, I have to say I’m really happy and please with my decision.
If you aren’t familiar with Top 5 Tuesday, it is a group here on WordPress now currently run by Shanah over at BionicBookWorm, where each week they give you a topic and you talk about 5 books that fit that category.
Without any further ado, let’s start with this week’s topic!
To talk about books
Yup, I know, super unique, right? No, but really. I love talking about books I love or didn’t like as much, and recommending books to everyone. I’ve actually done that in real life with my friends, and they have discover some of their favourite books thanks to some recommendations, so I’m really happy for that. But since not many people in my everyday life are bookworms, this blog was super helpful to me when it came to that.
To meet fellow bookworms
This is one of many things I love about this comunity. I’ve actually met a lot of people blogging, and though I’m pretty shy when it comes to interact with people and lazy with my social medias (I’m still working on that, promise), I love talking about books with other readers and discuss whether or not they enjoyed or not the same books. Also I’m so happy when people tell me they’re going to read a book I recommended, or that they loved it!
To discover new books
I cannot tell you how many books I’ve discover ever since I joined WordPress. I think because I’m doing monthly new releases I need to keep up with new books that are coming out, and because I follow other fellow bloggers or youtubers, I’ve discover tons of books that either I knew nothing about or that weren’t quite in my radar until I’ve heard someone else praise them.
Because I actually want to end something I proposed to myself
Umm, yeah, I’m a quitter. Not always, but I’ve started projects in the past that have been left out. I’ve started writing books (TONS OF THEM, let me tell you) and doing other projects that I ended up quitting because either I lost interest in them or was pretty busy and couldn’t keep up with them. SO I NEEDED THIS. My pride needed this, and though sometimes I have to say that I’m super lazy and don’t want to write a thing, so far I’m really proud of myself for continuing with this blog. I really hope it’ll stay active for lots of years!
So I can recommend books
Well, yeah, I’ve already talked about this. I know, I know. BUT I LOVE RECOMMENDING BOOKS. Mostly because when other people recommend them I usually discover new books I knew nothing about, and I think that even though they take longer to write, they are so much fun and I love reading and watching them.
If you’re a fellow blogger or you’ve been thinking about starting your own blog or channel, definitely let me know what are the reasons why you decided to finally create your own blog!

Love your list! I’m a quitter too, with many unfinished books I’ve written, and basically everything else. I never thought to make it this long blogging either!!! But you’re doing SO wonderful and I love the space you’ve created!
Thanks for sharing and participating! 🙂

Ahh thank you! I’m trying to be as creative as possible, but it’s quite hard sometimes 😅. I find blogging to be quite chilling to me, and though sometimes I’m pretty lazy when trying to schedule my posts, I’ll end up really happy with myself😊.

Well it doesn’t look like it’s challenging on my end as a reader of your blog. So that’s a plus!

Love how you mentioned being a quitter, because that’s a reason I didn’t even think of. I’m the same way because I did start writing books, articles and a lot of other things I eventually gave up on. Thankfully, I have yet to give up on this blog haha 😛

Yess! I didn’t want to start blogging mainly because of that, but so far it’s been great, though I have to admit it’s quite hard sometimes to being active and write posts!

Not many people in my life read books either, so I was never able to talk about books I loved. Now I do it all the time and it’s great!

It’s so refreshing and cool to be able to do that! In this platform not only I’m able to talk about books but find people that love them as much as I do❤️.
