Favorite Science Fiction & Fantasy in Other Media | T5W

Hello bookworms! I’m Nia and today I’m going to be talking about some of my favorite fantasy/sci-fi TV shows and movies.

This was a very tough topic for me, because I’m not the type of person who watches a lot of TV shows or movies. I don’t know why, but when it comes to thinking about my favorite movies, I freeze and can’t come with answers. And another thing that usually happens to me is that it’s a bit hard for a movie to become a favorite to me, because even though I’ve watched a fairly amount of them, and have seen a lot of TV shows, there are only a few of them that I can truly say they are my favorite. So today I’ll be talking about those.

Without any further ado, let’s start with this week’s topic!

Inception 

I freaking adore this movie. I found it all so interesting and twisted that I couldn’t help but fall in love with it. I don’t know, the concept was so freaking cool, and everything that happened was confusing and amazing at the same time, and those two things are usually something that I always want to see in a movie. I believe I’ve seen this movie about four times, and I haven’t got tired of it yet, so that’s something.

Stranger Things

Okay, I was super late on this train. I remember watching this show after hearing everyone raving about it for months, and I still don’t know how I didn’t get spoiled. Luck, I guess. But after it was being recommend a lot, and I knew it wasn’t a horror story, I decided to watch it. And I completely loved it. So much. I think it had a very cool story, and it was spooky, and amazing. Also it had a very talented cast of characters!

Harry Potter

I knew I had to mention Harry Potter, because I saw the movies before I read the books, so it means a lot to me because not only I love this saga, but I also grew up watching the movies. This is one of those series I don’t get tired of, and could watch each movie like 900 times without getting bored.

Lucifer

This is one of those shows that when I first started watching I wasn’t the biggest fan, but as I continue, I liked it more and more. I don’t know, it is a super fun TV show, that somehow mixes crime solving with religion, but not in a bad way. It’s weird to explain, but I adore Lucifer. He’s such a charming guy, but he’s hilarious as well, and I’m kind of addicted to this show (please no spoilers, I’m still on season 2!).

Pirates of The Caribbean

I know, I know, this isn’t technically a fantasy movie, but there are some fantasy elements in it, so that’s why I wanted to mention it. I grew up watching Pirates of The Caribbean, and I freaking love the movies (expect the fourth one, that doesn’t exist to me). There’s something about these movies that stuck with me when I was a kid that I still love today, and I cannot explain it. They’re so fun, action packed, and amazing.
