Hello bookworms! I’m Nia and today I’m going to be talking about some auto-buy authors.
I’m pretty sure I’ve already talked about my favorite authors, and the ones that I love that much that I’m going to buy every book they published, but for the sake of this post, I’m going to be doing that again (sorry if I’ve mentioned most of them in other posts, but I absolutely love their books and stories, and I need to talk about them again).
If you aren’t familiar with Top 5 Wednesday, it is a Goodeads group now currently run by Sam over at ToughtsOfTomes on Youtube, where each week they give you a topic and you talk about 5 books that fit that category. You can join the group here if you want to participate!
Without any further ado, let’s start with this week’s topic!
Okay, I’m very predictable, but I have and will be buying everything that she publishes, because not only she’s a favorite author of mine, but also all of her stories are so unique and cool that I have such a great time reading them. So far I’ve purchased almost all of her books (I’m still trying to get a copy of The Near Witch, but so far it’s been a challenge), and I have all of her upcoming books on my TBR already.
Another unsurprising author in this list. I’ve already talked about how much I love Leigh Bardugo and the Grisha world, and how I’ll buy everything she releases, even if it’s about doing laundry or how to cook properly. I don’t care, I bet they’d be amazing stories as well. She’s such an incredible author, and I feel her Grisha world has developed and become more complex as she publishes more books.
Another author I’d buy anything she publishes. The Shatter Me series is one of my all time favorites, mostly because those books were some of the first ones I read when I started reading YA, and I absolutely loved them. I still have Furthermore on my TBR, but she’s one of those authors that I really like the writing and the stories she creates, and because of that she’s an auto-buy to me!
Well, this comes as no surprised because most of the things she has published are about the Shadowhunter world, and since The Mortal Instruments were my very first obsession, I’m going to read anything she writes about that world (I believe she has two upcoming trilogies, yay). I’ve also read she’s going to publish another book non-Shadowhunter related, so I’m here for it, but until then, this girl will be buying all of her Shadowhunter books.
Though I’ve only read Cinder and Scarlet so far, I admit I’ve bought all of the books she’s published so far, not only because the premises of all of them sound amazing, but also because I like the stories she writes, so we could say she’s an auto-buy author since I’ve purchased and will be buying everything she’ll come out with.
What are your auto-buy authors? Let me know in the comments if some of these are yours as well!
